It’s with a heavy heart I have to say I lost both of my cats in a little over a month. I had health issues in May and spent some time in the hospital, and Baby Girl (my black cat Dora) died while I was away, despite my neighbor putting out food and water. My boy, Dexter, got away when the landlord tried to move him (I couldn’t) and he was gone for over 4 weeks, Apparently, even though he was fed periodically by kind people., he went into starvation mode and subsequent liver failure after 2 weeks home. (Yes, I finally got him back.) I take some solace that I got to say goodbye and spend his last few days with him, but my heart is broken.
I am FINALLY able to get back to this site because I am a “cat lady” with all my heart. So hug your little ones for me.
Dex and Dora, you will be missed.
